Big
Mac is from the small town of Blounts
Creek, North Carolina. Raised on a hundred acre
farm on the banks of the Pamlico River, Mac is
truly a country boy. Macs
exposure to bluegrass happened at an early age
when he first heard family friends, Julian
Elliott and Bobby Cherry of the former band
The New Dixie Grass. That encounter
made a lasting impression on Mac and although he
didnt realize is at the time he was
bit!
In 1998, Mac
turned his interests from hot rodding
to bluegrass and has been at it ever since.
Focusing on playing a strong rhythm guitar, Mac
is also proficient at bass and banjo.
Macs
love of bluegrass music has driven him to become
the powerful rhythm guitar player and a strong
lead vocalist that will push this band into
overdrive.

Tammy Quinn
McRoy grew up in the small town of Aurora, North
Carolina. Tammys musical journey began at
the age of 7 learning piano from her mom and
singing in her church.
Influenced by
Robin Crabtree, formerly of the Grass Cats, Tammy
entered into the world of bluegrass in 2002 by
taking up the bass. Turns out she was a natural
and now is the backbone of the band with her
impeccable timing. In addition to keeping the
band in the groove Tammys
tremendous lead vocals and harmonies are a
signature of this band not to mention being the
best looking of the bunch.
Tammy holds
down the low-end on a 1949 Kay bass.

Williams

|
Growing up in
Swan Quarter, North Carolina, Chuck Williams has
been playing banjo since the age of twelve and
owes that ability to God, his mom and dad, his
dads collection of Flat & Scruggs Albums, and
Buddy Zincone, who took Chuck under his wing and
gave him the instruction he needed.
Chuck has
played with local groups EC Grass, Charles
Carlisle & Company and other pick
up groups with local musicians such as Fred
Bisell, Johnny Hill, Chris Hill, Danny Morris,
and Kenneth Legget.
In 2003, Chuck
began playing guitar, focusing on the Earl
Scruggs three finger style of guitar picking.
Chuck plays a
Gibson RB 250 Mastertone. He lists his influences
(in no particular order) as Earl Scruggs, JD
Crowe, Terry Baucomb and Steve Dilling just to
name a few.
Chuck lives
and works in the Belhaven, NC area with his wife,
Paula, and two daughters, Katherine and Emma.
